Our client is looking for a self motivated and proactive Procurement Specialist to manage and optimise all procurement and logistics activities across their organisation. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with their suppliers, partners, internal teams and senior leadership to drive cost effective, timely procurement that aligns with their project goals and supports overall business growth. This position blends hands on operational responsibility with strategic supplier management and strong commercial insight. Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist role: Expertly cost products for proposals and live projects, aligning with commercial objectives and profit targets. Take ownership of project budgets, ensuring margin protection and financial efficiency. Proactively identify cost saving opportunities to improve gross profit across projects. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable commercial terms. Manage, support and mentor a team of three staff members. Oversee the full lifecycle of product procurement, including order tracking, delivery coordination and logistics, ensuring stock arrives at the right place, at the right time. Plan and manage domestic and international logistics operations for seamless product delivery. Liaise with inventory and warehousing teams to ensure efficient stock movement across our clients locations. Act as the Procurement representative in internal project kick off meetings, providing insight on supply chain timelines and risks. Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal stakeholders regarding any potential risks or delays in delivery. Escalate supply chain issues that could impact project timelines to the senior team members promptly. Ensure all procurement and project related documentation is completed accurately and maintained to a high standard. Required Skills and Experience: At least 1 year experience in procurement or supply chain within a dynamic, fast paced setting. Previous management experience would be desirable. Advanced Excel skills and strong data management capabilities. Excellent time management skills, as regularly working to deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across teams and with external partners. Proven ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships. Strong commercial awareness and a keen eye for detail. Problem solving mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively when needed. Resilient under pressure and adaptable to change in a dynamic environment.
