Overview
Head Chef – Location: Bradford, BD4 6SE. Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week. Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday 06:00–14:30. Sodexo are looking for a talented Head Chef to join our team in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to lead our kitchen operations, inspire the team, and deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth, efficient workflows.
* Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards.
* Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality, with strict attention to portion control, presentation, and allergen compliance.
* Monitor stock levels, control costs, and minimise waste.
* Uphold and enforce food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards at all times.
* Support the Catering & Events Manager in achieving financial and service delivery targets.
* To ensure that all statutory regulations and company policy are adhered to.
About You
* Professional culinary training (City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ equivalent desirable).
* Food Safety Level 3 and strong knowledge of HACCP and allergen management.
* Experience leading a team in a high-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* A hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire and mentor others.
* Stamina and resilience to thrive in a demanding service environment.
