Junior Locally Employed Doctor in General Surgery

Applicants are invited to apply for a Junior Clinical Fellow post in General Surgery. This is a full‑time 12‑month fixed‑term appointment. We are looking for a CST level doctor to join our exciting General Surgery team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely under the direction of the Surgery Consultants and Specialty Registrar trainees. Key duties include day‑to‑day inpatient care, operating alongside senior team members in theatre, and supporting Out‑Patient clinics. The department offers Colorectal (including IBD, pelvic floor, colorectal malignancy), Upper Gastrointestinal and General surgery teams. Opportunities exist to undertake audit and research projects.
Out‑of‑hours commitment– a full shift rota at 1 in 12 frequency.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MMBS or equivalent
* Full registration with GMC with current licence to practice
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* 6 months NHS experience
* 2 years post‑graduate medical experience
* 1 year NHS experience
* Foundation or equivalent experience
