Continuous Improvement Engineer
Diss, Norfolk
£32,000 - £35,000 + funded Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Green Belt qualified… but stuck doing spreadsheets and reports?
If you've done the training but aren't being given real ownership, this might be worth a look.
This is a hands-on Continuous Improvement role inside a well-established manufacturing site in Diss. The business designs and manufactures equipment used across technical, medical and specialist sectors. Proper engineering environment. Real production challenges.
You'll be joining an experienced CI team, not a solo act. The focus isn't theory. It's practical improvement across production, quality and support functions.
What you'll actually be doing:
* Supporting and leading CI projects on site
* Mapping processes and identifying waste
* Running 5S activity and Kaizen events
* Analysing performance data to spot bottlenecks
* Working directly with operators and engineers to implement change
This is ideal if you're early in your CI career and want exposure to real operational improvement, not just PowerPoint.
The key difference?
They will fund and support you through your Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Properly. Not as a carrot that never happens.
You'll get mentorship from experienced CI leaders and the chance to see projects through from problem to measurable impact.
What they're looking for:
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
* Engineering or manufacturing background
* Someone practical and hands-on
* Comfortable on the shop floor, not just behind a desk
Salary is £32,000 - £35,000. This is positioned as a development role with clear progression, not a finished article hire.
