Expleo is hiring a Motion Interaction Designer to work with a leading automotive client based in Warwickshire. This is an inside IR35 contract opportunity, offering a competitive rate of £52.88 per hour (umbrella).
About the Role
As a Motion Interaction Designer, you will bring life to the UX/UI vision through creative use of motion, interaction, choreography, and transitions. You’ll play a key role in defining how motion enhances the digital experience, ensuring cohesion and delight across various platforms. Your work will help communicate concepts and demonstrate the vision to stakeholders, while collaborating closely with design and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and implement motion design systems, animations, transitions, and micro-interactions for HMI and UI/UX content.
* Collaborate with UI and UX designers to transform static designs into dynamic, intuitive experiences.
* Work with software developers to ensure motion content is optimized and technically feasible.
* Maintain visual consistency across digital interactions.
* Coordinate with creative operations, programme management, and business operations teams to support content delivery timelines.
* Manage stakeholders across interdependent design functions.
Essential Skills
(CVs must demonstrate these skills)
* Experience creating animations/motion graphics in AfterEffects.
* Storyboarding and sketching capabilities.
* Ability to define motion/animation styles and behaviours for handover documentation.
Critical Capabilities
* Strong interaction design experience in agency and corporate settings.
* Proven delivery of motion and interaction design across multiple platforms and devices.
* Deep understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, etc.).
* Expertise in interaction design and tools like AfterEffects, Principle, Framer.
* 3D skills in Cinema4D, Blender (preferred).
* Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
* Experience in prototype builds and iterative design.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to work across cultures, geographies, and time zones.
* Adaptability to fast-paced design environments.
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of motion graphics experience.
* Experience integrating motion graphics into broader UI systems.
* Ability to work with both 2D and 3D assets.
* Flexibility to work in studio and remotely as required.
Desirable Experience
* Creative character design and animation.
* Interest in China-market design preferences.
* Passion for automotive UX/HMI design
