Regional Sales Manager – Precision CNC Machine Tools
Territory: United States – West of the Mississippi River
Compensation: $140,000 base salary + commission
Travel: Up to 50%
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established, global manufacturer of high-precision CNC grinding and turning equipment to identify a Regional Sales Manager covering the western United States.
This role is ideal for a proven machine tool sales professional who understands complex, engineered capital equipment and thrives in a territory-based, relationship-driven sales environment across a large, multi-state region.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Drive direct sales of precision CNC grinding and turning equipment across the western U.S.
2. Develop, manage, and motivate a third-party agent and distributor network
3. Grow existing accounts while generating new business through proactive outreach and networking
4. Build and execute regional sales strategies based on market conditions and customer needs
5. Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM reporting
6. Collaborate closely with internal technical, applications, and marketing teams
7. Travel extensively within the territory to support customers, prospects, and agents
What We’re Looking For
8. 10+ years of experience in the machine tool industry
9. Proven success selling precision grinding and/or turning equipment
10. Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
11. Experience working with and managing independent agents or distributors
12. Ability to sell complex, technical capital equipment at multiple levels within customer organizations
13. Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and CRM discipline
14. Experience covering large, multi-state or western U.S. territories strongly preferred
