The Role.
The Communication Support Worker (CSW) will operate as a key enabler within the Foundation Learning and SEN provision, providing specialist communication support to a learner with hearing impairment working at Entry Level 1/2. The role is focused on maximising learner access, engagement, and progression by translating spoken language into British Sign Language (BSL), developing the learners communication skills, and supporting independence across classroom-based learning, enrichment activities, and off-site experiences. The post holder will work in close partnership with curriculum staff and the SEN team to embed inclusive practice and deliver positive learner outcomes.
