Role: Care Trainer - Domiciliary
Location: Essex (Chelmsford)
Hours: Full time ( Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM )
Salary : £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

Job Purpose
To design, deliver, and evaluate training programmes to ensure domiciliary care staff have the necessary knowledge, skills, and competence to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support in clients' homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Training Delivery
* Plan, organize, and deliver induction training for new care staff.
* Provide ongoing mandatory training (e.g., safeguarding, moving and handling, medication administration, infection control, health and safety, first aid).
* Deliver company ad hoc trainings and coordinating workshop to guide carer files documentation activity.
* Deliver specialist training on dementia care, end-of-life care, and person-centred care approaches.
* Assessment & Competency
* Assess staff competencies through observation, skills assessments, and written evaluations.
* Maintain accurate records of training attendance, assessments, and staff development plans.
* Conducting competency evaluations in the field.
* Compliance & Quality
* Ensure training content complies with current legislation, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., Care Quality Commission standards).
* Support audits and inspections by providing training records and evidence of staff competency.
* Support & Mentoring
* Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to care staff.
* Support staff in achieving health and social care qualifications
* Continuous Improvement
* Review and update training materials regularly to reflect best practice and feedback from staff.
* Identify training gaps and recommend improvements to management.
* Sharing staff progression reports to management.
Essential Criteria
* Strong knowledge of domiciliary care practices and standards
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to motivate and engage adult learners
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach
* IT literacy (for e-learning and record-keeping)
Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant health and social care qualification (Level 3 or above)
* Teaching/training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent)
* Experience working in domiciliary/home care
* Experience delivering training to adult learners
