The Role
You will be supporting pupils within the Early Years sensory provision, working closely with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team to provide tailored, child-centred support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting children with a range of additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Assisting with sensory-based learning activities
* Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and behaviour
* Promoting independence, engagement and positive social interaction
* Contributing to planning and adapting activities to meet individual needs
* Being fully immersed in school life and supporting the wider team
This role requires commitment, resilience and a genuine passion for SEN.
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Hold a relevant qualification (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
* Have UK-based experience supporting children with additional needs (essential)
* Have sound knowledge and understanding of SEN, including supporting challenging behaviour
* Be able to commit to full-time hours until the end of the academic year
* Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the team and pupils
* Be confident working both collaboratively and independently
* Demonstrate a positive, proactive “can-do” attitude
* Show willingness to fully immerse themselves in school life
