Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor - Holdings
Location: Head Office based in Kirkby in Ashfield (J28 M1) - Working remotely with main areas of Interests being South within and around M25 circular and surrounding areas.
This role will require to attend head office at least once a week.

What You'll Be Doing
* To work with the Senior management and operational teams to ensure UK law, HSE best practices and the Van Elle policies and Procedures are implemented.
* Instil and manage the health, safety and environmental processes, including risk assessments, method statements, internal audits and induction training.
* Advising site management and operatives on day-to-day health & safety matters.
* Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned.
* Attending and chairing safety meetings with senior managers
* Assist the divisions from the pre-construction stage of a project to mitigate risk and assist with all legislative compliance for all contracts undertaken.
* To ensure workplace health, safety and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety through risk assessments, inspections
Who We're Looking For
Qualifications:
* Valid CSCS
* NEBOSH National General Certificate and / or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
* Personal track safety (PTS) - Desirable
* Temporary works experience - Desirable
* PUWER Trained - Desirable
* CertIOSH or willing to work towards
* Geotechnical / Foundations or construction background
* Understanding of Facility management requirements - Desirable
Skills and Knowledge
* Strong knowledge of safety systems with a keen eye for detail.
* Team player, capable of making a positive contribution to the company.
* Strong IT skills, with experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Effectively managing your own priorities and meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
* Passionate about the Health & Safety Profession.
* Be committed and enthusiastic about promoting High Standards.
* Confident, self-managing, able to work on own initiative.
* Good Attitude / Work Ethic / Team Player.
* Strong Communication Skills.
* Strong Attention to detail.
* Willingness to learn and take direction.
* Confident enough to challenge unsatisfactory conditions or breaches.
Other Requirements:
* Eligible to work and live in the UK.
* Flexibility to travel in the UK, mainly travel around the south of England and London.
* A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK.
