Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / SEN Teaching Assistant - Heybridge
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / SEN Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools in Heybridge We welcome applicants with experience in Primary or Secondary education, as well as candidates with transferable skills and a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
* Support pupils with needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
* Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Support behaviour management and student wellbeing
* Encourage confidence, independence, and progress
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting children or young people in Primary or Secondary settings
* Has SEN experience or a strong interest in supporting additional needs
* Is patient, resilient, caring, and adaptable
Desirable experience:
* LSA, Teaching Assistant, SEN support, mentoring, youth work, coaching, or care experience
* Understanding of EHCPs and SEN strategies
* Experience supporting ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or behavioural needs
* Safeguarding or SEN-related training
