Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including commercial establishments and hotels. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. A background in cooking is a plus, as there may be opportunities to assist with meal preparations.
Responsibilities
* Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
* Dust, vacuum, and mop floors; clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces; and sanitise bathrooms.
* Change bed linens and towels, ensuring that all items are fresh and presentable.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
* Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly manner.
* Assist with laundry duties as required, ensuring all linens are cleaned and stored appropriately.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations within the establishment.
Experience
* Previous experience in commercial cleaning or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not essential.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
* Experience in cooking or food preparation is advantageous but not mandatory.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently.
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
