School Business Manager - Independent School - Chelmsford Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Business Manager An Independent School in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced and highly organised School Business Manager to join its senior leadership support team. This is a key role within the school, responsible for overseeing operational, financial and administrative functions that support the successful running of the school. The successful candidate will lead on financial planning, budget management, procurement, facilities management and operational compliance. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders, you will contribute to strategic planning and help ensure the school continues to deliver outstanding outcomes for students. Responsibilities include managing support staff teams, overseeing finance operations, supporting HR processes, managing contracts and ensuring efficient systems are maintained across all areas of the school. You will also monitor budgets, produce financial reports and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies. The role requires excellent leadership skills, strong financial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The school is seeking a proactive and professional individual with experience in operational management and a commitment to continuous improvement.
