Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with Drupal experience to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This hybrid role requires the candidate to be located within a commutable distance of Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in PHP development, with a preference for those familiar with Drupal (version 9 or 10). As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-quality web solutions tailored to diverse client needs. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects within an agency environment, collaborating closely with designers, project managers, and fellow developers to deliver innovative digital solutions on time and to specification.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
* Strong commercial experience with PHP development
* Knowledge of modern PHP practices and frameworks
* Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or MariaDB
* Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git
* Good understanding of front-end fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
Additional desirable qualifications include experience with Drupal 9/10, API development, CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with front-end frameworks or build tools.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain PHP-based applications and websites, ensuring high performance and scalability
* Work with Drupal, including custom module development, theming, and configuration management
* Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
* Contribute to technical decision-making and establish best practices for development
