Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have an excellent opportunity to join one of the most renowned tier 1 main contractors on an upcoming scheme on the Isle Of Wight. The business has a national presence, operating out of several regional offices undertaking projects across the education, defence, commercial, student accommodation and MOJ sectors valuing up to £100mil. Projects are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a project valuing betwen £1 - £30mil. You will have an Assistant Quantity Surveyor reporting into you and you will report into a Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
* Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
* Oversee the project's procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
* Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
* Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development
Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position:
1. Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
2. Have experience working as commercial lead on schemes valuing circa £25mil.
