Relationships Coventry and Warwickshire, formerly Relate Coventry and Warwickshire, is a charity passionate about providing counselling, mediation, specialist domestic abuse services, training, and support for adults, children, young people, and families.
We are looking for an enthusiastic:
Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) / Community Worker
to support men who have experienced domestic abuse
* 3-year fixed-term contract
* Full-time – 37 hours per week
* Salary – £29,000 per annum
* Location – Coventry
Our IDVA / Community Worker will play a key role in an exciting new project, Anchor Point, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
You will provide a range of community-based support services for men who have experienced or are currently experiencing domestic abuse, including those presenting with additional needs.
You should have demonstrable experience of the impact of domestic abuse, carrying out risk assessments, and a good working knowledge of safeguarding and the range of statutory and voluntary agencies responding to the needs of men at risk from domestic abuse.
Requirements:
IDVA qualification OR at least 2 years’ experience working as a Domestic Abuse Advocate
Training can be provided to achieve full IDVA qualification
