Overview
Test Analyst role based in the UK. The role is to support a Programme in the transition and transformation of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. Any experience of working on National Grid would be advantageous but not essential.
Duration: Expected full-time but with possible small breaks; flexibility to pause the resource effort with notice as much in advance.
Responsibilities
* Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls).
* Understand test phases: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance.
* Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements.
* Collect test execution evidence and report execution/defects in ALM.
Practical skills
* Cisco Switch / Router console commands.
* Handling fibre optic cables.
* Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures.
* Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing.
* Network and Service Management tool set (e.g. StableNet).
Knowledge
* Interpret Network infrastructure design from HLD/LLD.
* ALM Test case management, Defect Management, Reporting.
Requirements
SC Cleared.
Hybrid role with occasional customer site visits required and also Newbury HQ to liaise with wider Test team. Locations include Farnborough, Bath, Oxford, Warwick, Birmingham.
