Data Protection Officer Salary: £65,000 per annum Location: Hybrid – Andover (3 days office based, 2 days home based) Hours: 37.5 hours per week The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer to join the Pure Group and lead data protection across our growing FCA-regulated business. This is a genuine DPO role with visibility, influence and independence. You'll work closely with senior leaders across the Group, providing trusted advice, constructive challenge and practical guidance to ensure data protection remains embedded in the way we operate. The Role As the Group's Data Protection Officer, you will: Act as the statutory DPO and primary privacy subject matter expert for the Group Provide independent oversight and advice on data protection matters across the business Lead the development and continuous improvement of our data protection framework Advise on privacy risks, governance, controls and compliance obligations Support the business in managing data incidents, complaints, breaches and regulatory engagement Partner closely with Compliance, IT, Marketing, Operations and Customer teams Advise on marketing compliance, PECR and emerging privacy considerations, including AI Deliver training and awareness initiatives to help embed a positive data protection culture Build strong relationships across the organisation and maintain a visible presence within the business. About You We're looking for someone who has: Previous experience operating as a Data Protection Officer Strong practical knowledge of UK GDPR, PECR and wider privacy legislation Experience working within a regulated environment A relevant professional qualification such as CIPP/E, CIPM or equivalent The ability to influence, challenge and engage stakeholders at all levels A pragmatic approach that balances compliance requirements with commercial objectives Experience within an FCA-regulated environment would be advantageous but is not essential. You are resilient and thrive under pressure and meet deadlines. Most importantly, you'll be approachable, credible and confident in building relationships across the business while providing independent oversight and advice.
