You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging history lessons to students, fostering a love for the subject while supporting their academic and personal growth. Responsibilities as a History Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality history lessons in line with the national curriculum. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and debate. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Support students in developing a deep understanding of historical events, concepts, and ideas. Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and resources. Requirements for History Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Experience teaching history at secondary school level is desirable. Strong communication and organisational skills. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching history. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
