We're the global leader in providing energy solutions that help businesses grow and communities thrive. We work as a team and we're proud of the difference we make to customers, to local communities, and towards a sustainable future for the world.
We're looking for a Painter based out of our Lomondgate Manufacturing Site.
Why Aggreko? Here are some of the perks and rewards.
* Generous benefits package (including but not limited to pension plan, bonus scheme, and Life Assurance)
* Generous holiday entitlement, with option to 'buy' or 'sell'
* A focus on continued personal development
* Paid time off work for volunteering in the community
* Access to our Employee Assistance Program, which helps promote and support a healthy lifestyle
What you'll do:
* Operate, set up and monitor production machinery and tooling to meet daily output targets while maintaining safe working practices.
* Perform surface finishing tasks (washing, painting, deburring, masking) to achieve required cosmetic and functional standards on parts, components and assemblies.
* Assemble and mechanically fit Aggreko Manufacturing products strictly to work instructions, quality control documentation and bill of materials, then package finished goods for protection, display and handling.
* Act as the first point of escalation for non‑routine operational or technical issues—identify problems, collect evidence, and escalate to the relevant operations/technical support teams.
* Maintain a clean, organised 6S‑compliant workspace, follow QHSE policies, report safety deviations and escalate health & safety or quality concerns immediately.
You'll have the following skills and experience:
* Apprenticeship (or progression towards one — ONC/SVQ level) desirable but not essential.
* Practical experience in industrial or machinery environments, preferably with finishing work on plant, HGVs, generators or comparable products.
* Solid understanding of production methods and the ability to work to standard operating procedures and quality checklists.
* Competent at reading, interpreting and applying engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
* Self‑starter with excellent problem‑solving skills and a quality‑led mindset — able to identify faults, recommend remedial actions and follow through to resolution.
Bring your energy. Grow your career.
