Environmental Protection Officer / Environmental Health Officer We are Lichfield District Council. A local authority in the Heart of England that provides local services to over 100,000 residents. We are looking for a motivated and confident part time Environmental Health Officer (EHO) to join our Environmental Health & Housing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in protecting public health, improving local environmental quality, and supporting our residents and businesses. Responsibilities - Statutory nuisance investigations (noise, smoke, odour, artificial light, dust, etc.) - Public health investigations, including drainage - Air quality monitoring and action planning - Environmental permitting (A2 and B processes) - Supporting housing enforcement as required - Preparing reports, notices, witness statements and attending court when needed - Providing advice to residents, landlords, developers and businesses Qualifications and Experience - Relevant degree or experience in Environmental Health/Environmental Protection - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Confident managing a varied caseload - Experience in nuisance, air quality and permitting (desirable) - Full UK driving licence Why Join Us?
