Your Role in Our Journey
We are seeking an experienced and talented Content and Conservation Team Leader to join our restoration service. You will be responsible for overseeing the restoration of contents affected by fire and floods as well as conservation of fine artworks and antiques, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and satisfaction. As our Content and Conservation Team Leader, you will be the focal point that guides our clients through their recovery journey. Your primary mission is to act as the bridge between the homeowners, their insurers, loss adjusters, and our team of skilled artisans by effortlessly communicating the restoration process to all parties.
With your knowledge and exceptional people skills, you will reassure, coordinate, and lead. You will act as our ambassador, painting a picture of our commitment to unrivalled service and unparalleled results.
You: The Artist of Relationships
To embrace this role, you need to excel in the art of relationships, be skilled in content and conservation restoration or be willing to learn quickly, and be able to travel effortlessly between our Bracknell facility and various sites across London and the Southeast.
You will carry the baton of leadership, inspiring your team to work in harmony. You communicate effortlessly, captivating your audience with empathy and commitment to their cause.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the main point of contact and build strong working relationships with homeowners, insurance loss adjusters, and the conservation team.
* Assess and evaluate the extent of damage to fine artworks and antiques, determining appropriate conservation techniques and procedures.
* Develop comprehensive restoration plans, including timelines and cost estimates, and present them to clients and insurance adjusters.
* Coordinate and oversee the execution of restoration projects, ensuring adherence to established quality standards and timelines.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the conservation team, resolving complex or challenging restoration issues.
* Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address client concerns, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records of all restoration projects, including condition reports, treatment details, and photographs.
* Keep abreast of industry developments, emerging techniques, and materials related to art conservation, and share knowledge with the team.
* Collaborate with other departments within Richfords to ensure seamless communication and efficient project management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art Conservation, Conservation Science, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of conservation techniques, materials, and best practices, with the ability to apply them effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with homeowners, insurance loss adjusters, and high-profile clients.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating a team of conservators.
* Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and project management.
* Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Willingness to travel to various sites within London and the Southeast and work at our facility near Bracknell.
