Contribute to the overall ethos, values and aims of the school
Build positive relationships with all stakeholders and uphold the culture of the school
Be punctual and have good attendance to ensure the pupils receive consistent support
Know the targets that pupils are working towards and understand how best to work towards achieving these
Deliver specific targeted intervention programmes (experience and training dependent) to meet the needs of the individual pupil
Support the teacher in adapting resources to make them accessible for all pupils
Support class teachers in all tasks that support teaching and personal care
Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as Educational Psychologists, Advisory Teaching Service and other Teaching Assistants as part of a professional team
Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits and out of school activities as required within contracted hours and to take responsibility for pupils under the supervision of the teacher
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
Following school safeguarding policies and procedures
Keeping up to date with staff training, including safeguarding
