Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.
Our new Master of Public Health (MPH) in Public Health research is being developed to deliver a thorough grounding in public health research and training in the skills required to undertake and implement the findings of such research.
We are seeking a Senior Teaching and Research Fellow to be the Associate Course Director for the MPH and to contribute to the ongoing development, revision and delivery of new course material and act as module lead on one of the course modules, with responsibility for overseeing the curriculum for that module and for supporting additional teaching in other modules. In this role you will also be expected to develop and lead a programme of research within the Population Studies Group and take responsibility for promoting collaborations and seeking additional funding.
To be considered for the role, you will have a relevant PhD/DPhil, with significant experience of post-qualification teaching, particularly at graduate level, and of examination and assessments of postgraduate students. You will also have research experience, with a strong publication record and evidence of the ability to write research proposals. Further essential criteria include excellent written and oral communication skills combined with proven organisational skills, including excellent time management and the ability to manage several tasks concurrently.
The position is full-time (although part-time is considered) and fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance. The closing date for applications is noon on 13 March 2026.
