Job Title: Internal Sales Executive
Location: Willenhall
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
Department: Sales
Reports to: Sales Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Internal Sales Executive to support our sales operations within the tube, fittings and flanges sector. Based in Willenhall, this role involves managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, and building strong relationships with clients across industries such as oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, and engineering.
You will act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a high level of service while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and margin.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
* Prepare and follow up on quotations for tubes, fittings, and flanges
* Process sales orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems (including Sage where applicable)
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
* Liaise with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery
* Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, including specifications, grades, and standards
* Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
* Support external sales representatives with account management and lead generation
* Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
* Ensure all CRM and internal systems are kept up to date
Key Requirements
* Previous experience in an internal sales or customer service role (preferably within industrial, engineering, or distribution sectors)
* Knowledge of tube, pipe, fittings, and flanges is highly desirable
* Experience using Sage (or similar ERP systems) is strongly preferred
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to read technical specifications and understand customer requirements
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience working with materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy products
* Familiarity with industry standards
* Experience supporting sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction
* Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings
