Role Overview
The Tumble Academy Lead will oversee the planning, delivery, and progression of the East Elite Tumble Academy. This role involves leading structured tumbling sessions, ensuring athlete safety, and supporting the development of cheer-specific skills. The successful candidate will act as a role model for athletes and help create an engaging, supportive, and professional training environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, lead, and deliver high-quality tumbling classes in line with East Elite's training ethos and progression pathways.
* Monitor and track athlete development, ensuring progression is safe, structured, and consistent.
* Provide clear feedback, encouragement, and technical corrections to athletes of all abilities.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment where athletes feel supported and inspired.
* Ensure athlete safety through correct techniques, equipment checks, and adherence to safeguarding practices.
* Work with the East Elite leadership team to align the Tumble Academy with wider program goals.
* Maintain high standards of professionalism and act as a role model for athletes and assistant coaches.
* Support the growth of the Tumble Academy by encouraging athlete retention and recruitment.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Strong background in cheerleading, gymnastics, or tumbling instruction.
* Experience coaching athletes of varying ages and skill levels.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to create structured, progressive lesson plans.
* Understanding of safeguarding and athlete welfare.
* Commitment to East Elite's values of teamwork, inclusivity, and athlete development.
Desirable:
* Relevant coaching qualifications (this can be arranged on successful application)
* First Aid and Safeguarding certifications.
* Experience in program development and athlete progression tracking.
Hours & Pay
* 7.25 hours per week, every Saturday.
* Pay: starting from £12.21 per hour
