They deliver safe housing, skills development, emotional wellbeing support and opportunities that help young people thrive and move towards independent living.Their housing services operate 24/7 across England, offering crucial support to young people aged 16-25 who face a variety of complex needs.The Role: Deputy Service ManagerAs Deputy Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager in the operational running of a medium-support service, ensuring safeguarding, quality, consistency and positive outcomes for residents.You'll play a key part in team leadership, service delivery, crisis management, and creating a psychologically informed environment where young people can gain confidence, life skills, and independence.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport smooth day-to-day operations of a 24-hour supported accommodation serviceEnsure accommodation is safe, secure, welcoming and well-maintainedOversee referrals, assessments, inductions and occupancy agreementsDeliver 1:1 keywork, groupwork and tailored support plans using trauma-informed principlesEnsure high standards of safeguarding practice and risk managementPromote prosocial behaviour using de-escalation and psychologically informed approachesWork with internal teams to support repairs, health & safety checks, void management and rent collectionParticipate in an out-of-hours management on-call rotaMaintain accurate records and client dataUphold safeguarding, equality, diversity and organisational policiesContribute to service improvements using resident and stakeholder feedbackPerson SpecificationEssential ExperienceBackground in supported housing, homelessness services, social care or similarExperience supporting young people and/or adults with multiple and complex needsExperience supervising or managing staffUnderstanding of safeguarding, risk management and maintaining professional boundariesExperience with housing management tasks - rent, voids, H&S, maintenance
