Job Description
***Direct experience with PFAS testing is a requirement to be considered for this role***
The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:
* Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of medical device products
* Run the instrumentation independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems (HPLC, IC & GC), UV/Spec, various wet chemistry analyses, FT-IR, ICP, DSC and dissolution apparatus
* Consult with clients to understand their testing needs
* Develop and adapt specialized PFAS testing for client specific projects
* Preparing samples for analysis and running instrumentation with minimum supervision
* Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
* Prepare standards and samples for analysis
* Execute method transfer protocols
* Document work as required for GMP compliance
* Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related degree concentration
* 3 years of industry experience using chromatography in an Environmental or cGMP environment
* 3 years of industry experience with PFAS testing or characterization
* Experience operating CICandHPLC systems.
* Experience with Solid Phase Extraction
* Experience with ISO 10993 and/or ISO 18562 testing
* Experience in a cGMP, GLP, and/or ISO 17025 compliant/accredited lab.
* Experience with method development and validation
* Polymeric and/or PFAS experience/education
* Authorization to work in the US without immediate or futuresponsorship.
