Tax Manager Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Great Bonus & Benefits Location: Wakefield
A leading privately owned manufacturing business in Wakefield with multiple sites across the UK and Europe is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their team at a time of significant growth and transformation.
With the company on an acquisition trail, you’ll play a key role in M&A activities alongside managing complex UK and European tax compliance. This is a role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, shape processes, and contribute to strategic decisions impacting the wider group.
The Role: You’ll take ownership of UK corporate tax compliance, coordinate European tax activities with external advisors, and oversee annual SAO reviews and R&D tax credit claims. You’ll also be involved in international tax projects such as CFC, anti-hybrid rules, transfer pricing, and Pillar 2 compliance.
Other responsibilities include:
* Partnering with stakeholders to meet tax deadlines.
* Advising on corporate tax aspects of global mobility and employment tax risks.
* Managing relationships with tax authorities and advisors.
* Supporting due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses.
About You
* ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in corporate tax within manufacturing or a similar complex environment.
* Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
* Flexibility to travel between Wakefield and Oxfordshire sites when required.
