Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate chef to join our kitchen. The ideal candidate will support the Head and second chef, and run their section with confidence. Ensuring high standards of food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This position is perfect for someone with a passion for good food and an interest in the highlands.
We bake sourdough bread and our brioche buns every day, use several local market gardens and local fishermen to source our produce. Our menu includes proper venison pies, local langoustine, scallops, mussels from Skye, heritage breed pork, beef and mutton from Macbeths Butchers.
The kitchen is small, with two chefs working at a time and one KP. Shifts are split into AM and PM with a break after lunch, 4 days of work and 3 days off to explore the glens, beaches and munroes around us. We are a short walk from the Glenelg-Skye ferry and also close to a fantastic organic microbrewery (we have their beers on tap and also cook with them).
