We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated sonographer with excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient-centred care. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join a skilled and supportive Ultrasound team, delivering a high-quality, patient-focused service across York Hospital and satellite sites.

You will undertake a varied caseload of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency examinations, working closely with sonographers, radiologists, clinicians, and the wider multidisciplinary team. The role can be tailored to support development in specialist areas based on experience and interests.

As part of ongoing service expansion, opportunities include:

1. Interventional ultrasound
2. Vascular ultrasound (with training)
3. Advanced clinical practice (Band 8a)
4. Clinical education and mentorship
5. Developing specialist services
