*We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager for a newly registered 3 bedded Therapeutic Children's Home in Staffordshire ST20.*
* *The post is Monday to Friday 8 hours a day, Off-shift post*
* *Supported by an off-shift Deputy Manager*

We are a locally owned company led by a team who have been firmly established for over 25 years as an Outstanding provider of services for Children in our sister organisation. Country Homes For Children extends that quality of service to the Staffordshire region.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to put their own mark on a new provision, setting the highest standards for recruitment, training, and service delivery. The home has been finished to a high standard and aim to provide high quality therapeutic care for up to 3 young people aged between 9 and 17 years.
Our therapeutic provision is supported by a Clinical Psychologist who offers the managers additional supervision and support, as well as systemic support to the staff and young people. Our therapy team provide on-site face to face consultations with the staff team. All staff will be PACE trained.
We are also supported by our sister companies and managers from all 6 residential homes come together regularly for peer support and to share good practice.
*YOU MUST HAVE MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE IN RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE*
*YOU MUST HOLD LEVEL 5 DIPOLOMA IN LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT IN CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL CARE OR BE WILLING TO UNDERTAKE IT*

*All candidates undergo a robust recruitment process and Enhanced DBS checking against the Children’s Barred List. All staff who are involved in recruitment have gone through a stringent 'Safer Recruitment Course'.*
*We are looking for candidates who:*
· Have experience in a managerial role in a residential children's home setting.
· Are qualified in the relevant qualification (or equivalent) at least to Level 4 with willingness to undertake Level 5
· Flexible and dedicated to the company ethos and vision.
* To provide effective leadership and management to support the team to deliver high-quality care to our young people
* Are able to manage the resources of the home and to provide a positive therapeutic and educational living experience for the resident children and young people
* To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
* To communicate effectively with a multiagency team including social workers, placing authorities and the Company Directors
* To review company policies and procedures other associated documentation
* To undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package
* To attend/chair staff meetings and be proactive in developing and improving the service model
* To act as an advocate for the young person whilst using a positive parenting model
* To work with young people using positive support strategies including de-escalation tools and techniques using in-house training
* To provide support and supervision to the Deputy Manager in completing day-to-day tasks
* To complete emergency point-of-contact duties as and when required (approx. 4 times a year)
*Job Requirements*
* To have a clear understanding of our therapeutic ethos
* To have exceptional communication skills
* To have sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g. Children's Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards)
* To provide support and positive role modelling to the staff team (including completing supervision)
* To be open-minded, empathetic in a calm and professional manner
* To attend meetings etc in a professional manner
*Essential Requirements*
* Must have a full manual driving licence
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or equivalent
* To successfully complete Ofsted registration as a Registered Manager
* To participate in further continuing professional development and support the needs of our young people
* To have a clear passion and desire to support children and young people
* To provide effective management and leadership to a progressive and committed team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £55,000 per year dependent upon experience
