Amazon is looking for a Support Engineer to be part of a global Operational Excellence team.
The team deploys, supports, and maintains software solutions that link our low-level automation systems with the cloud, moving the business to Industry 4.0 and improving the Overall Equipment Effectiveness of the installations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the best engineers in the industry and help support and shape the direction of automation and machine learning systems within one of the world’s largest fulfillment networks.
Key job responsibilities
* Review and test software solutions and new functionalities to ensure they are error-free and ready for production.
* Deploy software solutions to our production facilities, remotely or on-site.
* Support our customers 24/7 as part of a network.
* Manage trouble tickets to resolution or escalation using existing documentation, procedures, and tools.
* Maintain products and systems and perform change management activities.
* Identify improvements to existing support processes and contribute to support documentation updates and creation.
About The Team
The Maintenance Automation Platform (MAP) Team ensures that machine-generated data leads to automated, proactive, and predictive maintenance actions. Our goal is to mature and integrate core software tools into a unified Maintenance Automation Platform.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
* Experience supporting software development for Industrial Automation (PLC, SCADA, HMI).
* Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.
* Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
* Experience in Unix and scripting in modern programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience as Control Systems Engineer / Automation Engineer.
* Deep knowledge of SCADA systems, OEE systems, and AWS services.
