Join to apply for the Pharmacist role at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists to join our clinical team, providing services at ward level and within the pharmacy department. The ideal candidate should be a keen learner, passionate about clinical development, and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
You will gain exposure to various clinical areas, which may include general medicine, surgery, endocrinology, care of the elderly, fractured neck of femur, technical services, and medicine information.
Upon joining, you will undertake a comprehensive induction program within the pharmacy department to ensure a smooth transition. This will include an introduction to pharmacy at PAHT, completion of logs for checking, coordinating, medicine reconciliation, IP, and TTA validation. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced pharmacists on our acute assessment unit and frailty ward, supported by our pharmacy education and training team and your line manager.
We actively support our team's development, including opportunities to complete the postgraduate clinical pharmacy diploma and independent prescriber qualification.
As Part of the Pharmacy Team, You Will:
* Provide a dispensary-based pharmacy service, including dispensing, validating, and checking inpatient, outpatient, and discharge prescriptions, as well as counseling patients.
* Participate in providing clinical services across wards at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust and other trusts, monitoring prescriptions and advising healthcare professionals.
* Support our Medicine Information Service and Technical Service Unit.
* Maintain registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and adhere to the code of ethics.
