Job Advert Role Description
We are looking for a PBS Practitioner to work at a newly opening home in Tonteg called Daffodil House.
At Priory Adult Care, we offer 24/7 specialist care in community settings. Our aim is to deliver support that enables individuals to develop and improve their quality of life outcomes.

The PBS practitioner will work closely with the individuals supported, colleague teams, and stakeholders to develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support for individuals and services.
The post holder will use their expertise to support mainly in the following areas:
* Development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans including Functional Behaviour Assessment
* Practice Leadership and Practice workshops
* Incident support, analysis, and colleague debrief
* Staff training & development
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or related fields, such as BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, MA or MSc in Autism Studies, PBS Graduate Diploma, PBS BTEC Level 5 (advanced professional Diploma)
* Be qualified or willing to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor certification
Additional qualities and experience include:
* Person-centred beliefs, values, and attitude
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and lead positively
* Deep understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and Applied Behaviour Analysis
* Experience in conducting behavioural assessments and developing interventions
* Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism, especially with behaviours of concern
* Experience in reducing restrictive practices
* Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support training
* Strong record-keeping and report writing skills
* Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks such as the Mental Capacity Act (2005), DOLS, Safeguarding, and risk management
