In this critical role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality used vehicles that align with our customer needs and market demand. Your expertise will help us expand our inventory while ensuring profitability and exceptional quality.
As a Group Used Car Buyer, you will analyse market trends, negotiate with suppliers, and develop strong relationships with various sources to ensure the best purchasing options are available. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the overall direction of our used car offerings.
Hours: 40 hours per week

The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a used car buyer or in a related position within the automotive sector.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to assess vehicle value accurately.
* In-depth knowledge of the used car market, including trends and pricing.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers.
* A data-driven approach to making purchasing decisions.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* A valid UK driving licence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Sourcing and purchasing used vehicles from various channels, including auctions, dealers, and private sellers.
* Evaluating vehicles for condition, pricing, and marketability.
* Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Working closely with sales teams to understand inventory needs and preferences.
* Reporting on market trends and sales performance related to used car purchases.
