The Role A 2-Shift based electrician who will safely execute planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely manner. Compliance to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to engineering and maintenance. Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time). Main Duties & Responsibilities Ensuring the safe execution of planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely manner. Compliance to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to maintenance and machine setting. Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time) Maintaining accurate maintenance records. Maintaining good housekeeping standards and a clean as you go policy. Setting and calibration of machine tooling ready for production in a safe and timely manner. Liaising with production operators to find root causes and appropriate corrective actions. Being the first point of contact for all machinery break downs on your assigned shift. Developing cross functional skills (mechanical and electrical) Supporting the engineering management in building an engineering team and related process fit for future challenges. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations and current edition of the Wiring Regulations. Experience of Electrical fault finding in a manufacturing environment.
