Milk Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Wakefield and South Leeds who are seeking Graduate Cover Supervisors to support in the classroom and provide targeted intervention. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching or education.
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. You’ll also have the opportunity to support students on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping to raise attainment and promote positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver pre-planned lessons to full classes in the absence of a teacher.
2. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies.
3. Support individual students or small groups with intervention and revision.
4. Collaborate with teaching staff to meet the needs of pupils, including those with SEN or additional needs.
5. Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress.
6. Assist in the pastoral development of students, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Requirements:
21. A degree qualification (2:2 or above)
22. A clear passion for education and working with young people
23. Previous experience working with young people (in any setting) is advantageous
24. Ability to provide two references from the past two years
25. Willingness to undergo CPD training provided by Milk and partner schools
