Senior / Executive Consultant – Client‑Side Advisor

* Policy reviews
* Estate and delivery strategy formulation
* Options appraisals

* Business case review and drafting (both HMT “Green Book” and any local arrangements)
* Support to Grant Funders
* Programme Management Office
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver a top‑class Advisory service that meets client requirements.
* Manage and deliver a particular workstream or task as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, engaging with key client stakeholders, building relationships, producing innovative solutions, creating presentations, and capturing lessons learned.
* Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
* Positively engage with clients and develop, grow and maintain client relationships.
* Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across the business unit activities.
* Manage yourself and others to deliver a high‑quality and profitable service.
Consultancy Role Responsibilities (Major Grant Funder)
* Liaise with grant funder operations and commercial teams.
* Provide tailored advice, guidance and support to grant funding recipients for construction projects, including project team set‑up, procurement, capability, capacity and risk assurance reviews.
* Advise on project management tools, techniques and controls; offer practical support for project progress and value for money.
* Conduct diagnostic reviews to identify risks, issues and blockers; perform project audits.
* Manage risk, monitor progress and report to grant funders; execute services in accordance with KPIs.
What We Are Looking For in Our Next Senior / Executive Consultant
* Ambition and a keenness to take on responsibility and progress.
* Experienced in delivery of construction projects.
* Sound knowledge of the public sector and its challenges.
* Practical experience of providing consultancy advice for clients.
* Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
* Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
* Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
* Excellent problem‑solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.
* Sound ICT skills, with high proficiency in MS Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Attributes
* Previous experience of working on façade remediation projects in the residential sector.
* Knowledge of the Building Safety Regulator and associated gateway processes and procedures.
* Prior experience working with a grant funder / grant‑aided projects.
Qualifications
* Project management qualification would be beneficial through prior consultancy roles.
* Chartered Management Consultancy Surveyor (MRICS).
* Chartered Project Professional (Association of Project Management).
