Overview
The successful candidate will work as part of a nursing team of qualified nurses and health care support workers on Ward 3, Ysbyty Cwm Cynon, to provide nursing support to adults with rehabilitation needs and to support complex discharge planning, ensuring that patients are discharged to the most appropriate destination.
We currently have a Band 2 vacancy within our Community Hospitals in CTMUHB, where free car parking is available. We are looking for compassionate, motivated and reliable individuals who have a desire to care for adults in the community hospital setting. Within this role you will be part of the team caring for patients.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing support to adults with rehabilitation needs.
* Support complex discharge planning, ensuring patients are discharged to the most appropriate destination.
* Be part of an integrated team supported in your role by the registered nurses, Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Manager.
* Contribute to a culture that delivers personalised care, promotes learning and open, fair practice.

* Ability to be part of a team and to engage with learning and development through in-service training, regular appraisals and clinical supervision.
* Willingness to participate in informal visits to familiarise yourself with our services and to answer questions from applicants.
Development and Support
You will receive support and development through in-service training, regular appraisals and clinical supervision. The post holder will be part of an integrated team and will be supported in their role by the registered nurses, Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Manager.

The Health Board currently operates a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks.
