Salary: £90 - £110 per day (PAYE, DOE)
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Harrow from September 2025, supporting children in their Additional Resource Provision (ARP).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with a range of needs, particularly ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
The Role:
As an SEND Teaching Assistant within the ARP, you will be based in a supportive provision attached to a mainstream primary school. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Helping children access the curriculum through adapted learning and tailored interventions
Working closely with class teachers to deliver behaviour and learning support strategies
Encouraging independence, social interaction and confidence in pupils
Creating a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school, ARP or specialist provision
A proactive, enthusiastic and patient personality
Strong teamwork and communication skills to work alongside teachers and SEN staff
Understanding of autism, ADHD, and social, emotional or behavioural needs
Team Teach or equivalent behaviour training is desirable but not essential
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
