Job Summary
We seek a Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience, CCNA certification, and knowledge of network protocols, wireless, SD-WAN, and SASE. This is a remote role with occasional travel and requires a full UK driving license.
This role involves working hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday, and participation in an on-call rota (1 week every 5 weeks).
Job Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure with high availability and security.
* Troubleshoot network issues across layers and platforms.
* Support and maintain cloud WAF.
* Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
* Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
* Implement Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SASE solutions.
* Support incident resolution and documentation.
* Travel for on-site support when needed.
* Stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications and Competencies:
* Minimum 5 years in network engineering.
* Knowledge of Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, BGP, WPA3, Wi-Fi 6E/7.
* Current CCNA or higher certification.
* Understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
* Experience with Cisco Meraki and network devices.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
* UK driving license and ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIA).
* Experience with cloud networking, automation, security, Ubiquiti solutions, and monitoring tools.
