Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 2 Clinical navigator based at MSK Physiotherapy Department Saffron Walden Community Hospital. The post is 22.5 hours per week working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9 am – 5 pm.


Responsibilities

* Receive and action or forward incoming/outgoing mail.
* Signpost/direct patients appropriately to relevant clinical staff/services and act as the first point of contact to ensure visitors are signposted and directed to the appropriate services.
* Deal with incoming calls from external organisations, the general public and patients; handle queries, appointments and reception desk cover including booking patients on to the electronic system.
* Assist medical staff with ad hoc administration type enquiries.
* Contribute to the reception team and provide an effective day-to-day reception.
* Provide clerical and administrative support to other staff groups as appropriate.
* Participate in identified training and personal development.
* Assist with health promotion and other related activities as necessary.
* Maintain supplies of certain items of stationery and supplies for the administration team.
* Receive, welcome and advise patients.
* Book and attend patients onto SystmOne.
* Send, receive and action messages via clinical systems.
* Answer telephone enquiries from patients, staff and other external agencies.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish. If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.
