I am currently working with a forward-thinking London-based property developer specialising in high-quality residential and mixed-use schemes across the capital. With a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for delivering exceptional developments, they are seeking a commercially-minded Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be working closely with the development, design, and delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. This is a key role within the business and offers the opportunity to be involved in projects from acquisition through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage cost planning, procurement, and financial control across multiple projects.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for new developments.
* Conduct tender analysis and negotiate with contractors and suppliers.
* Monitor project progress, assess variations, and manage valuations.
* Provide cost advice throughout the design and delivery phases.
* Assist with feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
* Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and support investment decisions.
About You:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a developer, contractor, or consultancy.
* Strong understanding of residential construction and cost management.
* Proven track record of managing budgets and delivering value on-site.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects.
