About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Cost Transformation Programme Lead to drive enterprise-wide cost optimisation and restructuring initiatives. This is a senior leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong background in consulting, restructuring, and business transformation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering a holistic cost transformation strategy that cuts across operational, functional, and corporate domains. The programme will target sustainable cost reduction, efficiency gains, and value creation, while preserving business continuity and enabling future growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive cost transformation programme across all business units and functions.
* Identify and prioritise cost-saving opportunities through deep analysis of cost structures, operating models, headcount, processes, and third-party spend.
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders (C-level, regional, functional leads) to align on transformation goals and execution plans.
* Develop business cases and performance targets for cost initiatives, tracking delivery and benefits realisation.
* Partner with Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, and IT teams to implement strategic and tactical cost levers.
* Introduce best practices in workforce optimisation, process redesign, shared services, outsourcing/offshoring, and technology enablement.
* Establish and lead a cross-functional Programme Management Office (PMO) to oversee execution, governance, and risk management.
* Ensure strong change management and communication plans are in place to support adoption and minimise disruption.
* Deliver regular progress updates, reports, and dashboards to executive leadership and the board.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* 10+ years of experience in management consulting, restructuring, or business transformation roles.
* Proven track record leading cost transformation or turnaround programmes at an enterprise level.
* Deep experience in operational efficiency, SG&A reduction, procurement optimisation, and strategic cost management.
* Ability to work across multiple business domains (Finance, Operations, HR, IT, Commercial).
* Strong financial and analytical acumen with the ability to link cost initiatives to P&L impact.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.
* Experience working in complex, matrixed, and multinational organisations.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
Preferred Attributes
* Experience working in or advising Private Equity-owned businesses or large corporates.
* Familiarity with cost transformation frameworks and tools (e.g. zero-based budgeting, benchmarking, Lean Six Sigma).
* International experience or experience managing multi-region programmes.
* Demonstrated ability to lead in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
