Job Description:
Leonardo are looking to employ a Support Engineer to work within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business as part of a multi-skilled Field Service Representative (FSR) team contractually located at RAF Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland. The role will provide direct support to the UK Typhoon Force at RAF Lossiemouth with temporary working in the UK and overseas required to support Leonardo’s wider business needs.
You will support the UK’s fleet of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft by:
1. Being a Captor Radar and Praetorian DASS focal point for customers
2. Understanding and managing operational priorities
3. Ensuring, whenever possible, assets are kept ‘on wing’ to reduce the number of No Fault Founds (NFFs)
4. Maintaining good working relationships with:
5. The UK MoD
6. BAE Systems
7. Other companies/agencies as required
8. Maintaining individual and team currency by ensuring mandatory training, authorisations and deployability status (vaccinations, passports, visas, etc) are in-date
Additionally you will support the wider business by:
9. Supporting trials and development work
10. Supporting the Typhoon Part 145 off-aircraft environment
11. Supporting the Typhoon Part M environment
12. Supporting Leonardo back office functions
13. Supporting non-UK Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft/customers in the UK and overseas
Specialist Captor Radar and Praetorian DASS training will be provided.
It is essential that you have:
14. A full UK driving licence (Category B)
15. The ability to achieve UK SC security clearance
16. The ability to work shifts (typically a week of day shift followed by week of back shift)
17. Experience working with aircraft and/or in an aircraft maintenance environment
It is highly desirable that you have:
18. Experience working within an airworthiness environment
19. Experience of Captor Radar
20. Experience of Praetorian DASS
21. Eurofighter Typhoon on-aircraft experience
It is desirable that you have:
22. Experience of Radar
23. Experience of EW
24. HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
25. Experience working at offsite locations, i.e. remote from back office/main site support

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
