Job Responsibilities:
1. Conducting cleaning in custody areas to ensure detainee welfare and support organisation in maintaining high standards of cleaning and hygiene.
2. Using specialist equipment and chemicals to clean, alongside vacuuming and mopping floors, and using floor machines.
3. Supporting the site manager in general maintenance activities, including planned and reactive works, to ensure compliance and smooth day-to-day running of the site.
4. Providing routine maintenance, including minor repairs and construction, to ensure the satisfactory upkeep of police properties, including custody areas.
What we're looking for:
* Someone who takes pride in their work, with a willingness to learn, capable of working alone and as part of a team.
* Ability to effectively plan and prioritize daily cleaning tasks.
* A reasonable level of fitness to meet role requirements.
* Experience in a similar cleaning or caretaking role is preferred but not essential.
Additional notes:
Due to the nature of this role and the security vetting level required, candidates must have been living in the UK as residents for the last 3 years.
