Autism Support Worker

A vibrant and modern SEN school in Lewisham seeks an Autism Support Worker to join the secondary team, working mainly in KS3/4 classrooms to support pupils meeting their learning goals.
Responsibilities
* Support young people across KS3:4 in the classroom to ensure they meet learning goals.
* Work with pupils on a 1:1 or classroom basis, encouraging motivation and learning.
* Assist pupils in activities that promote independence and lifelong learning.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver inclusive lessons.
* Maintain accurate progress records and communicate with the multi‑professional team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience as an autism support worker in an SEN school is desirable but not essential.
* Passion for helping students with SEN needs.
* Patient, calm and engaging classroom manner.
* Strong communication skills.
* Registered DBS or willingness to obtain a new DBS.
* Ability to build rapport with individual pupils.
Employment Details
Full‑time, long‑term position starting after the half‑term, continuing through the academic year and into the next.
Competitive pay for inner London.
