Salary
£15–£17 per hour + overtime + company van
Role
This is a hands‑on, field‑based role where you’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of a range of door and entry systems.
Responsibilities
* Installation, servicing and repair of automatic and manual door systems
* Electrical and mechanical fault finding on site
* Responding to reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance jobs
* Providing clear updates and advice to customers
* Recommending practical solutions and improvements
* Participating in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota
Qualifications
We’re open to engineers from a range of backgrounds. You don’t need a door‑specific role if you have relevant transferable skills.
* Field Service Engineer
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
* Gate / barrier / access control engineer
* Lift / HVAC / electro‑mechanical engineer
Experience & Skills:
* Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault‑finding skills
* Experience working in a field‑based or service environment
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* Good communication skills when dealing with customers
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable (not essential):
* Experience with automatic doors or entry systems
* BS/EN16005 or similar qualifications
