Evolve is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Network Engineer Apprentice to join their team and support the design, development, and maintenance of their internal systems and network infrastructure. In this role, youll gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects from reviewing and enhancing existing systems to implementing improvements, supporting rollouts, and ensuring ongoing system performance. Youll work closely with a range of departments, learning how to deliver reliable and secure IT services across the business. With full support from your workplace mentor and structured training provided by Baltic Apprenticeships, youll develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed as a Network Engineer in todays digital world. A Typical Day in the Job: Design, develop, and maintain internal systems and network infrastructure Assist with network expansion activities, including installation and configuration of switches, routers, servers, and access points Configure software to enhance security and support firewall upgrades Utilise network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, IP Scanner, Ping, and Tracert Create detailed technical documentation including network topology diagrams, server rack layouts, Wi-Fi coverage maps, hardware/software directories, and disaster recovery plans Provide 1st line support within the Network Operations Centre (NOC) Support technical delivery teams and assist with network migrations Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and by the Baltic team. Youll also have access to one-to-one mentoring sessions with senior team members and on-the-job training that aligns with your career goals.
